Our mission

About Adapted Study

People should be able to learn anything with the flow of their learning style, not against it — and no learning obstacle should stand between a capable person and their goals.

Why we built this

Most training assumes every learner processes information the same way. They don't. When delivery collides with how someone actually learns — especially alongside dyslexia, ADHD, or learning in a second language — hard-working people are held back by the format, not their ability. Adapted Study closes that gap for adult and young-adult learners preparing for real exams.

Learn in your modality

We meet you in your primary mode and support your secondary. Outputs are genuinely different by style:

  • Visual — structured layouts, diagrams, and visual summaries
  • Auditory — listen-and-speak practice and audio-friendly study
  • Read/Write — written guides, notes, and text-first practice
  • Kinesthetic — interactive, do-it, manipulate-and-apply experiences (often the missing piece in other tools)

Built for real obstacles

Dyslexia, ADHD, and ESL are first-class concerns — not afterthoughts. Clear structure, simplified language where it helps, lower cognitive load, and accommodations you can actually use while studying.

High-stakes exam focus

The target isn't casual study. It's promotional and professional exams — long comprehensive written tests and oral boards. Coverage, retention, and recall under pressure matter. Practice is meant to mirror how you will actually be tested.

The story behind it

Adapted Study was founded by a Texas attorney and law-enforcement lieutenant (JD + LLM; adjunct law and LE instructor) with a lifelong focus on adult learning (andragogy). The most personal drive is supporting his wife — a primarily kinesthetic / secondarily visual learner with dyslexia, ADHD, and ESL (Spanish-first) — as she competes to promote via a 200-question written exam and a 10-minute oral board. That is not a marketing persona. It is why modality and obstacles come first.

Tools that only served a visual learner never fully reached her primary mode. When study materials started living as kinesthetic, do-it experiences, that changed. That promise is the product: reach the learner in their primary mode, support the secondary, and adapt around specific obstacles — so capable people can compete on tests that were never designed with them in mind.
